Ella Mae Evans, co-founder, beloved Kittville's program coordinator, mother of 5, personal grooming instructor, cosmetologist, make-up artist  and actor.

In 1965, along with Earth Kitt, she was one of the original founders of our program. Later, in 1995, along with Wanda-Lee Evans, Artistic Director, she launched a series of steps to catapult the KYF' Dance & Cultural Arts Program into the next millennium. The most significant and successful of these steps taken, resulted in KYF being granted permission to operate out of the Girls Gymnasium on Saturdays at Bret Harte Intermediate School in South Central Los Angeles. This step paved the way for other positive developments, such as the resurrection of volunteerism, commitment and dedication exhibited by skilled professionals (dance teachers), musicians (drummers), mask making, actors and personal grooming instructors.

Kittsville Youth Foundation Dance & Cultural Arts Program is fiscally sponsored by ART ACTIVE, INC. , a 501 (c) (3) organization incorporated by the State of California.
