Creative Dance/Ballet

Zitlali began her love of dance at the age of five. She found herself constantly in the search of local dance classes in her East los Angeles community. She began with Ballet Foklorico, under the direction of Irene Portillo, she became a member of the "Las Estrellas" dance group.

Some years later she began her study of Classical ballet with the "Baldwin Jr. Ballet Company" where she found her passion and discipline for the art. Zitlali simultaneously attended the Los Angeles Conservatory of the arts located within the California State University of Los Angeles' campus and was able to broaden her study of dance to include voice and drama lessons.

She continued her study of dance at the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts as a student in the Dance department. Ultimately she attended East Los Angeles college and studied under Wanda Lee Evans. Having completed the Bachelor's of Arts degree at Mount St. Mary's College, this wife, mother and teacher, is now working on her Masters in Education at the University of Southern California.
